What are these services like?
Tuesday/Saturday Morning Prayers
A short service of prayers and bible readings (held on the chairs in the Lady Chapel) lasting about 20 minutes.
Wednesday Holy Communion
![]() |
This is a traditional language communion service without any music or singing, held in the Lady chapel (we sit in the furthest pews opposite the main door). There is a steady core congregation of about twenty people, and we are often joined by people who find getting to church on Sundays difficult due to other commitments. The service lasts about thirty five minutes. |
Wednesday Healing Service
Everyone is welcome to this very gentle service of prayer for healing, which we understand in the broadest possible sense. Healing and wholeness is God's will for individuals, society, the environment, and the whole of creation.
We use a written order of service, often with a celtic flavour, so everyone can feel confident that there will be no difficult surprises. There is lots of time for quiet prayer and reflection, ritual acts (eg lighting a candle) and opportunities to receive 'laying on of hands' from our priests, while gentle recorded music plays. .
This is our newest service, and while it will change and develop we are committed to making it a safe place to pray for healing.
The Service lasts about 30 minutes.
