  • Marriage is intended by God to be a creative relationship.
  • His blessing enables husband and wife to love and support each other always.
  • They will share in the care and upbringing of children.
  • It is an invitation to share life together in the spirit of Jesus Christ.
  • The ceremony sets out the solemn, public and life-long covenant between a man and a woman, declared and celebrated in the presence of God and before witnesses.*

  • The aim of marriage preparation is to help couples enjoy their special day and understand their commitment to each other.
  • They will be invited by the Vicar to discuss the meaning and content of the wedding service.
  • The Vicar also helps rehearse the church service, so that they can fully enjoy the occasion.
